AorTag scanner

AorTag checks the analytics and tag setup of websites that their owners have asked us to check. Requests from the scanner identify themselves in the user-agent AorTag-Scanner/1.0 and link to this page.

What the scanner does

• It loads the pages a website owner has declared, in a normal browser, and records which analytics requests the page sends.
• It only visits websites whose owner has accepted our terms of use for that website.
• It does not submit forms, log in, or change anything on the site.
• It respects robots.txt and rate limits its requests.

Stop or limit scanning

If you are a website owner and want the scanner to stop, or want it to use a different rate, write to us (the contact address is published here at launch) and give the hostname. We stop scanning the site as soon as we confirm it is you.

Allowing the scanner

If your site filters traffic by address or user-agent, allow the user-agent AorTag-Scanner. The scanner's fixed outbound addresses are published in each customer's AorTag settings and will be listed here when they are ready.
